MORE ABOUT HUTTON & SMITH BREWING CO.
YOU’VE TRIED THE BEER, NOW LEARN ABOUT THE PROCESS:
WATER
Water is the main ingredient in beer and our water processes reflect the importance of how our water is treated. We create ideal water conditions which highlight the flavor and aroma of all of the styles we brew. We use reverse osmosis water exclusively in all of our brews, stripping it of virtually all mineral content and rebuilding it with our own mineral additions for each and every recipe.
HOPS
Many of our beers have a volcanic blast of hop presence. However, we source hops from around the world to appropriately compliment everything from the darkest stout to the lightest lager.
YEAST
We implement multiple ale and lager yeast strains under the most strict quality assurance and fermentation conditions in order to produce high quality representations of all the beer styles we brew.
GRAIN
Sourcing the highest quality domestic, English, German, Irish, and Belgian malts allows us to produce the most flavorful character and body for the multitude of styles we brew.
WHY HUTTON & SMITH
We Love Beer, and Geology, and Cats.
We moved to Chattanooga to pursue a dream of opening a brewery, to live somewhere with ample outdoor and recreational activities, and to exist in a supportive and friendly business and residential community. This decision has been better than we could have imagined, we’ve made the best of friends, and been welcomed by an amazing craft beer community that has appreciated all of our brewing efforts. We give the biggest thanks to all of our supporters and friends!
We hope to see you in the taproom, where we can pet your dog while talking about our cats, and have a tasty craft beer!
We have WEEKLY events that include pints as low as $3!
