Every staff member gets to make a beer, from recipe design to brew day.
If they don't know how to brew, we pair them with the brewer of their choice to walk through the desired elements and we give them a hand. These beers have been exciting for H&S because they get the brewers out of their comfort zone, and bring ideas to the brew schedule that they might not have had on their own. These are creative beers, that are always delicious, and reflect the tastes of our staff. Ask your bartender which staff beer is on tap!

Wizard on a Whale
10th ANNIVERSARY RELEASE! 9.1%ABV. This old-school Imperial IPA is loaded down with all the classic American hops. Citrus, pine sap, and dank resiny hops are all carried across the finish line on a sturdy malt backbone for excellent balance.
Braden's Gone Mild
10th ANNIVERSARY RELEASE! 3.7% A traditional representation of the English Mild. Malt Forward, thirst quenching and quaffable.

Smoll Boi
10th ANNIVERSARY RELEASE! 4.1% ABV. A supremely tasty and tiny all pilsner malt lager with a pinch of German Saaz hops. Although this Boi is smoll, the flavor is delectable.
Guava Pineapple Sour
10th ANNIVERSARY RELEASE! 5.1% ABV - The perfect blend of pineapple & guava highlighted by bright acidity takes you to paradise.
Holtz Claw
10th ANNIVERSARY RELEASE! 0% ABV. This is not a sprite! N/A Seltzer essenced with hop oils for a delightful aroma and citrus flavor.
MINERALLITE
4.1% ABV. This is mica-nda lite! If you zinc you are parched, this is your beer. It's not natrolite.

Ignatius
This west coast IPA is packed with citrus fruit and resinous character. This hop bomb is highlighted by Alora, Citra, Cascade, and Chinook. Ignatius is not igneous, but it is ingenious!
Public Transportation
Step up to the bus, pay your toll, and take a refreshing ride on the wheels of our latest thirst quenching creation. Quaffable and flavorful, with an approachable biscuit palate, subtle bitterness and earthy goodness, Public Transportation Ale will carry you to new and exciting taste bud destinations.
Arcanite
Over 3 years in the making, we blended 24-29 month old bourbon & whiskey barrels, then bottle conditioned this blend for 11 months. The result is a myriad of well-integrated flavors. Red fruit/cherries brightened by high acidity is met with a depth of dark dried fruits/raisins enveloped with charred oak, caramel, vanilla, and finishing with notes of chocolate and tobacco.

Igneous IPA
7.2% ABV. Our dry hopped India Pale Ale offers a blast of citrus and pine aromas. This brew’s bitterness is well balanced by a slightly malty body with biscuit notes and a clean finish.
Abby's Ginger Geomancy
5.6% ABV. Staff Series! This Ginger Wheat beer is perfect for summer! Light crisp, and a hint of lime!
Peach Sour
5.0% ABV. Our newest seasonal! Tart and refreshingly sour and highlighted with zesty peach!
Anatase Barrel Aged Dark Sour
9.3% ABV. 5 years in the making, Anatase consists of barrels ranging in age from 15-35 months. After blending & maturation, this blend was bottle conditioned for an additional 15 months. Black currant, plum, dried/dark fruit, charred oak, vanilla, and chocolate all share the stage. Expect high acidity and an incredible depth of complexity.
Alunogen
6.3% ABV. After spending a year in Chardonnay barrels, this blend was bottle conditioned for an additional year. Alunogen is mildly funky with high acidity and beautiful notes of dried apricot, lemon, tropical fruit, nuts, and toasted oak.
Bourbon Barrel Age Adambier
10.1% ABV. Expect loads of toasted bread crust drizzled with sweet caramel and complementary notes of chocolate, tobacco, and a light smoky/peaty character. Made even more complex by aging in bourbon barrels!
Bivouac Black IPA
8.9% ABV. WORLD BEER CUP GOLD MEDAL WINNER, The Bivouac BIPA has a bold hop presence with notes of resin, pine, orange and grapefruit citrus that coats the palate. Dark malts give the Bivouac a blast of coffee and roast that is not harsh, but compliments the hop profile and finishes dry. At 8.9% ABV, there is some alcohol heat that warms nicely but is not overpowering.
Diatomaceous Dry Stout - 2024 world beer cup Silver Medal Winner!
5.5% ABV. Diatomaceous is our traditional dry stout offering. Its dark and roasty, with hints of coffee, a medium body, and a clean finish.
Matt's Barrel Aged Barleywine
10.1% ABV. Matt’s Barleywine is brewed with an obscene amount of the finest English malts and boiled for over 3 hours to bring you a full-bodied, luscious treat. Designed to warm the soul with an incredible depth of flavor ranging from sweet malts, dark dried fruits, caramel, toasted nuts, and toffee with toasted bread crust and tobacco lingering through the long finish.
Chris Baltic Porter
8.9% ABV. Brewed in collaboration with our raffle winner Chris Arnt, this Baltic tickles the taste buds with robust chocolate, roast, and malt flavors, and finishes clean with a bit of dark berry character.
Vadose Zone Vanilla Stout
5.5% ABV. On Nitro! The perfect amount of vanilla balances this rich dark stout.
Indulgence
8.2% ABV. Indulgence Hazy DIPA - 8.2% ABV Fermented with two special yeast strains for extra complexity and featuring Nectaron hops, Indulgence is overflowing with sweet juicy tropical fruits. Passion fruit, guava, pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, and apricot are all waiting for you.
Jason's Black Mamba
5.4% ABV. Staff series! Created by our top sales rep, Jason! This tasty coffee stout was brewed with beans roasted especially for this batch by New Wave Coffee!
PourUs Pale
5.2% ABV. The Pourus Pale is a supremely drinkable American Pale with a light body and a supreme hop presence highlighted by lemon citrus, pineapple, pine, and herbal character. Brewed specially for our friends at the Parkway Pour House.
The Good Schist
6.3% ABV. Abundant late additions and dry hopping with Hull Melon highlight this pale, producing honeydew and cantaloupe aromas. The Good Schist is a juicy and tropical American Pale with hints of grapefruit, a strong caramel and roasted malt backbone, and medium bitterness.
Convergence
6.9% ABV - Blending two special yeast strains for extra complexity, these absolute titans converge with six of the finest hops. Bursting with tropical aromas of pineapple, tangerine, peach, apricot, coconut, and citrus flavors of orange and grapefruit.
Wee Heavy Metal
2019 GABF Bronze! The Wee Heavy Metal is our Strong Scotch Ale offering. It's profile centers around a rich malt bomb - with caramel sweetness, and dark fruit and bread notes, it has very little hop presence and finishes with a touch of alcohol that warms the palate and soul. The subtle and complex malt character blossoms as it warms, and the dark copper color with deep ruby hues will invite you to imbibe.
Taylor's Doppelbock
Staff Series and TN Championship of Beers Best in show winner! This classic Doppelbock has been aging and cellering nicely!
Vulcanite
After spending 19 months in Chardonnay barrels, this blend was bottle conditioned for an additional 9 months. Aromas of golden stone fruit, Chardonnay, and a hint of earthy funk. Fairly high acidity with notes of apricot, lemon, and toasty oak

Kia Ora
Sauvignon Blanc/Passion Fruit Brett Sour - 5.3% ABV - After a 10-month mixed fermentation w/ multiple brett strains, sacch trois, and lactobacillus, we refermented for 2 months on Sauvignon Blanc & Passion Fruit. Kia Ora is highly drinkable with moderate acidity and notes of peach, pear, lime, and just a hint of soft funk.

Old Man Krautstrunk Old Ale - 2024 World Beer Cup Bronze Medal Winner!
A classically designed old ale with lots of bread and cracker character balanced with just enough bitterness for balance. Complex and satisfying, and a fine lubricant for those creaky knees.
EJ's ESB
Staff Series Beer! A classic English Ale hi-lighted by Crisp Heritage Maris Otter and Simpsons Golden Promise malt, and fermented with Scottish Ale Yeast. This brew has a balanced malt sweetness and complex biscuit character. It is well rounded with UK hops providing the perfect amount of bitterness and earth. Queen Elizabeth would've been happy to enjoy this very British beer.
Wrecktonic
We liked Tectonic so much, we made it twice as nice. This is one of our favorite hazy double IPA's and we had to make it again!

Realgar Barrel Aged Red Sour
After 15 months in Hungarian & American oak, we bottle conditioned this blend for 4 months. Realgar presents with an excellent balance of moderate-high acidity, notes of cherries & blueberries, charred oak w/ hints of vanilla and toasted nuts.
Dark Shadows
A tasty and rich milk stout infused with hazelnut and vanilla.
